About Me!

The Salon

• Equipped with high spec hydraulic tables and baths for smooth movement for your furry friend to feel as calm as possible.
• Whatever the breed / size of dog you have by your side, we will accommodate with our two hydraulic tables that cater for all. We have a table that goes as high as 123cm and a table that goes as low as 25cm from ground level.
• The salon itself is fantastic on those very hot days as it remains refreshingly cool throughout the day.
• We undertake a high level health check with all of our furry friends prior to any grooming and will advise you with feedback if we find anything of concern an advise if a trip to the vet would be advisable.
• If we happen upon fleas / mites etc. we will need to contact you immediately to collect your furry friend and possible contribution for fumigation of premises.
• If your furry friend is matted to an extent that is believed unmanageable, there may be additional cost due to extra time required / we may need to shave off their coat as a last resort.

Qualifications

I completed a City & Guilds qualification in 2022. This included 10 practical days at a grooming salon and theory work regarding behaviors and so forth.

I have had the opportunity to work on the following breeds to date: 

Cairn Terrier, West Highland White Terrier, Cocker Spaniel, Bichon Frise, Cockapoo, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Giant Schnauzer, Old English Sheepdog, Poodle (Standard), Patterdale Terrier, Golden Doodle, Cavador, Min. Dachshund, Lhaso Apso, Sprocker, Shih Tzu, Border Collie, Yorkshire Terrier, French Bulldog, Cockerpoo

Finally...... 

I'm Sarah, your groomer and owner of The Dog's Barnetts. Previously a Project Manager on the railway and now putting my skills towards my own business! I have two adorable Golden Retrievers of my own and love them so much it hurts!

In summer 2022, Vicki, owner of Murphy's Doggy Deli, gave me the opportunity to work for her as a shop assistant at her wonderful raw food unit in Ashton Keynes. I do the odd shift here to help out and to give Vicki a much earned break every now and then as her business is booming!! In 2023 Me and my family (inc. all the animals) decided to foster rescue dogs. This is something we are all looking forward to gaining lots of experience with and hopefully share knowledge with others too along the way.
